The STEROPE project took part in an online roundtable on 27 March 2026 bringing together several EU-funded projects working on chemical decarbonisation, electrification, hydrogen integration and carbon capture and utilisation (CCU).
During the session, Michaela Papageorgiou (HELLENiQ ENERGY), STEROPE project coordinator, introduced the project and presented its approach to advancing CCU technologies, with a focus on the production of sustainable fuels at industrial scale.
The roundtable provided a valuable opportunity to exchange insights with other Horizon Europe projects, including ALCHEMHY, HYPER, ēQATOR, METAWAVE , CAPTUS and Trineflex. Discussions addressed key technical and cross-cutting challenges, ranging from reactor design and process integration to digitalisation and data management.
These exchanges highlight the importance of collaboration across EU-funded initiatives to accelerate innovation and maximise the impact of research and innovation efforts in industrial decarbonisation.
STEROPE will continue to engage with related projects and relevant stakeholders to foster knowledge sharing and explore opportunities for further collaboration, highlighting the importance of strengthening synergies across EU-funded initiatives.
