Sterope’s work on membrane-based CO₂ capture featured at MELPRO 2026

The Sterope project took part in MELPRO 2026, held in Prague, Czech Republic, from 4 to 7 October. The international conference brings together experts working on membrane and electromembrane processes to exchange knowledge and discuss advances in the field.

As part of the scientific programme, Marcello Pagliero from the University of Genoa delivered a contributed talk on the development and design of Sterope’s membrane contactor-based CO₂ capture unit. This technology is part of the project’s broader work on carbon capture and utilisation (CCU), supporting the development of sustainable fuels.

The presentation sparked interest among conference attendees and prompted a brief question-and-answer session, providing an opportunity to discuss the project’s work with the scientific community.

Sterope’s participation in MELPRO 2026 highlights the value of scientific exchange and collaboration in advancing CO₂ capture technologies.
