The Sterope consortium held its first General Assembly on 23–24 April, hosted by the Institute of Catalysis and Petrochemistry (ICP-CSIC) in Madrid.
The meeting brought together all project partners to review progress during the first six months of implementation and define the next steps. Each Work Package (WP) leader presented the work carried out during the project’s initial phase, highlighting early technical developments, coordination efforts, and dissemination activities. Discussions also addressed upcoming activities, ensuring alignment across the consortium and consistency with the overall project objectives.
The second day featured technical presentations by representatives of ICP-CSIC and researchers from the Sustainable Energy and Chemistry Group. The General Assembly concluded with a visit to the ICP-CSIC facilities, where participants explored the Sterope demo plant’s catalytic conversion unit. This pilot system converts captured CO₂ into e-methanol and e-DME through advanced catalytic processes.
The General Assembly marks an important milestone in the project’s progress, reinforcing collaboration among partners and setting a solid foundation for the activities planned for the remainder of the year.
