HELLENiQ ENERGY, coordinator of the Sterope project, has been shortlisted together with Sterope in four categories of the Reuters Global Energy Transition Awards 2026, a prestigious international initiative recognising excellence, innovation and leadership across the global energy sector.
The awards, organised by Reuters Events and presented during its flagship energy summit in New York, celebrate the organisations, projects, technologies and professionals driving the transition towards a more sustainable, resilient and affordable energy system. The 2026 edition attracted more than 500 submissions from around the world, with entries evaluated by an independent panel of industry experts.
HELLENiQ ENERGY and Sterope have been shortlisted in the following categories:

• The Projects of Impact
• The Organizations of Progress
Being recognised across all four pillars of the awards highlights the breadth of Sterope’s contribution to the energy transition. From advancing innovative carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) technologies to developing integrated pathways for the production of sustainable aviation and maritime fuels, the project demonstrates how industrial collaboration can help accelerate decarbonisation while strengthening Europe’s industrial competitiveness.
The shortlisting also reflects the strong commitment of HELLENiQ ENERGY and the Sterope consortium to delivering impactful solutions for hard-to-abate sectors and supporting Europe’s climate neutrality ambitions.
